Poppy and Branch discover that there are six different troll tribes
scattered over six different lands. Each tribe is also devoted to six different
kinds of music -- funk, country, techno, classical, pop and rock. When rockers
Queen Barb and King Thrash set out to destroy the other music, Poppy and Branch
embark on a daring mission to unite the trolls and save the diverse melodies
from becoming extinct. Trolls World Tour was released in the
United States in limited amount theatres on April
10, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 .Pandemic in the United States, it
was also released for digital rental on the Universal's most successful day-one
rental. Its success led Universal Same day. The film set several
streaming records, including becoming announcing they would be looking into
doing more simultaneous theatrical and Theatres announced they would no longer
distribute the studio's films. Streaming releases, and in response, several
theatre chains including AMC.
